Interpath Advisory is seeking an experienced Management Accountant to join its Finance & Accounting team based in the UK.

This newly created role will be part of the group finance team working to improve and develop key processes around the month end close and group wide internal reporting and cost control.

The successful candidate will act as a key point of contact to the wider business to analyse cost performance.

There will also be involvement in the month end close and the individual will be responsible for a number of entities as well as helping to drive towards a faster close.

The role will also be actively involved in board and lender reporting as well as establishing internal management accounts for various jurisdictions.

Responsibilities

  • Manage end-to-end accounting activities across multiple entities as well as tax compliance for these entities.
  • Key business partner for non client facing departments to analyse costs and variances to budget.
  • Establishing new processes around cost centre postings and intercompany reconciliations.
  • Management of supplier cost push processes across the group.
  • Production of ad hoc cost analysis.
  • Support the Group Financial Controller on the year end audit processes.
  • Preparation of monthly board and lender reports.
  • Maintain and strengthen internal controls, accounting policies, and financial governance processes.
  • Support the preparation of annual statutory accounts and coordinate filing requirements across relevant jurisdictions.
  • Partner with FP&A, Tax, Payroll, and wider Finance teams to ensure accurate and consistent financial reporting.

Essential Requirements

  • ACCA, ACA, CPA, or equivalent fully qualified accountant.
  • Minimum 5-7 years of progressive accounting experience, including experience in a managerial role.
  • Fluent German and English language skills (written and spoken).
  • Proven experience managing month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes.
  • Advanced Excel skills and strong proficiency with accounting and ERP systems.

Desirable Criteria

  • Experience in a multi-entity, international, or shared services environment.
  • Knowledge of German accounting regulations and German GAAP (HGB).
  • Previous experience with IFS ERP or similar enterprise accounting systems.
  • Experience working within professional services, consulting, or advisory businesses.
  • Exposure to finance transformation, process optimisation, and system implementation projects.
