HRM Homecare Services is a leading provider of care at home and self-directed support services in Scotland, dedicated to helping individuals live independent lives for over 30 years. Our mission is to alleviate the stress of daily living challenges caused by age, illness, or work, ensuring that our clients receive compassionate and effective support in their own homes. This role is a 9‑month maternity cover, with potential for extension or permanent appointment.

Responsibilities

  • Roster and manage support worker teams
  • Communicate effectively with clients, families, and care staff to ensure seamless service delivery
  • Provide administrative support including effective record keeping
  • Manage supervisions and support care staff to maintain high standards of service
  • Collaborate with healthcare professionals and community resources to enhance client support
  • Carry out support plans, risk assessments, and reviews of service users

Hours: 37.5 per week on a 5 day over 7 basis; participation in the out-of-hours service will be required

Qualifications and Experience

  • Previous experience in homecare, care coordination, or a similar role (preferred)
  • Basic office skills including proficiency in Microsoft Office applications
  • Valid driver’s licence and access to a car
  • Experience with rota or scheduling in a care setting (preferred)
  • Experience supervising care staff (preferred)
  • Experience with support plans and risk assessments (preferred)
  • Familiarity with Care Inspectorate standards, self-directed support, and Scottish Social Service Council requirements (preferred)
  • Eligible to work in the United Kingdom
  • Available to participate in a shared out-of-hours rota
