Why Sony Interactive Entertainment? Sony Interactive Entertainment isn't just the Best Place to Play – it's also the Best Place to Work. Sony Interactive Entertainment (SIE) is the company behind the PlayStation brand. As a subsidiary of Sony Group Corporation, we’re part of a proud legacy of innovation and excellence. SIE is a dynamic technology company, delivering cutting‑edge hardware and network services to more than 100 million people and an entertainment leader, home to some of the most beloved and recognizable intellectual properties (IP) in the world. Our role at SIE is to create and nurture the experiences under the PlayStation brand, a name synonymous with entertainment excellence and creativity.

Role overview: The GEO Content Producer is a new marketing role within SIE’s Consumer Engagement team, responsible for creating and optimizing on‑site content on playstation.com to ensure our pages are understood, retrieved and cited by LLM‑powered answer engines (e.g. ChatGPT, Google Gemini, Perplexity, Claude). This role blends strong SEO fundamentals with emerging GEO practices, focusing on producing clear, natural‑language content that directly answers user needs around PlayStation products and experiences.

This is a hands‑on content creation and optimisation role: you will identify content gaps, create relevant new material (e.g. expanded FAQs, comparison content, influencer/UGC carousels), and continuously improve pages to increase organic visibility and answer‑engine presence. This is not a people manager role, but you will be expected to operate independently on complex problems, bring extensive knowledge in SEO/AEO/GEO content practices, and be accountable for results. You will influence across multiple adjacent teams, contribute to team objectives, and coach/educate peers on GEO content creation. It is also not a project management or analytics role but requires strong collaboration with analytics and insights teams to identify priorities and measure outcomes.

What you’ll be doing:

  • Partner with insights teams to identify high‑value user questions and intents for priority products; then translate these into an on‑site content plan.
  • Author, build and refresh “answer‑ready” content that meets the needs of both human and machine audiences (e.g. structured FAQs, product comparisons, etc.).
  • Write in a natural, helpful tone that reflects the PlayStation brand voice while maximizing clarity and reusability in answer‑engine contexts.
  • Own the ongoing optimisation and maintenance of priority content, ensuring information keeps pace with evolving user intent, search behaviour and AI retrieval patterns.
  • Apply GEO & SEO best practices across templates and modules (headings, internal linking, semantic structure, snippet‑friendly formatting, metadata hygiene etc.).
  • Partner with web product owners to recommend site improvements that increase comprehension and retrievability (e.g. new module types, new patterns, component enhancements etc.).
  • Coordinate with vertical stakeholders to source inputs and approvals.
  • Partner with MarTech to run GEO content experiments and document learnings to establish repeatable best practice for GEO on playstation.com.
  • Champion GEO best practice within content peer group to ensure principles are understood and embedded in formal ways of working.

What we’re looking for:

  • Strong understanding of modern organic discovery, including SEO fundamentals, AI search and the evolving role of content within LLM‑powered experiences.
  • At least 5 years of experience in implementing traditional SEO content tactics (e.g. on‑page optimization, content gap analysis, internal linking, taxonomy/IA basics, etc.) on a major brand or media website.
  • Demonstrable copywriting and editorial skills, including the ability to write clear, natural‑language answers that reflect brand tone.
  • Experience producing web content end‑to‑end within a sophisticated CMS (brief > draft > review > publish > iterate).
  • Experience using SEO measurement tools (e.g. enterprise SEO platforms, keyword/intents tooling, performance dashboards etc.) to inform & prioritise content creation, optimisation and maintenance activities.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively across functions, bringing adjacent disciplines together to deliver against a brief.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain SEO and GEO concepts to both technical and non‑technical audiences.
  • Proven track record of improving organic visibility, discoverability, engagement, or search performance through content initiatives.
  • Demonstrable enthusiasm for console gaming, and strong knowledge of PlayStation’s products and audience.

Desirable:

  • Some hands‑on GEO/AEO experience. This is a relatively new discipline, so expertise is a plus, not a requirement – but curiosity is essential.
  • Familiarity with Adobe Experience Manager (AEM) and modular page publishing workflows.
