The Opportunity

  • Role: Financial & Product Accountant
  • Working model: Hybrid - 4 days per week in the office, either Monday or Friday from home

Key Responsibilities

  • Financial Reporting & Control
  • Prepare accurate month-end management accounts, financial reporting, and performance analysis.
  • Maintain the integrity of the general ledger, ensuring appropriate accounting treatment across a range of financial transactions.
  • Prepare balance sheet reconciliations, accruals, prepayments, and supporting schedules.
  • Support the preparation of statutory financial statements and external audit requirements.
  • Management Reporting & Budgeting
  • Produce management information and reporting packs for senior leadership and governance committees.
  • Analyse financial performance against budget, investigating key variances and providing meaningful commentary.
  • Support the annual budgeting and forecasting process across the Finance function.
  • Treasury & Regulatory Reporting
  • Assist with daily treasury and prudential reporting, including liquidity, capital, and funding metrics.
  • Support regulatory reporting activities and contribute to key regulatory submissions.
  • Assist with ICAAP, ILAAP, and other regulatory reporting requirements where required.
  • Tax, Process Improvement & Business Support
  • Assist with VAT and corporation tax reporting.
  • Support the implementation of finance systems and process improvements, helping to strengthen the control environment.
  • Maintain finance procedures and provide ad hoc analysis to support senior stakeholders across the business.

Your Profile

  • Qualified Accountant (ACA / ACCA / CIMA).
  • Experience within banking or financial services, or external audit of banking or brokerage clients.
  • Good understanding of financial controls and accounting principles.
  • Advanced Excel skills with the ability to analyse and present financial information effectively.
  • Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail, and a desire to learn and upskill
