Responsibilities

  • Coordinate committee activity and support governance, projects and activities behind the College's six Faculties.
  • Work alongside world‑leading surgeons and healthcare professionals to advance education, raise professional standards and improve patient care.
  • Coordinate Faculty projects and events and brief volunteers; build strong relationships with volunteers and members.
  • Collaborate with colleagues across the College to deliver an exceptional experience and contribute to reflective practice and continuous learning.
  • Support professional development within the Faculties team and participate in the development pathway toward a Faculty Development Lead position.
  • Occasional out-of-hours work or travel within the UK to support meetings and events.

About You

  • Demonstrates the right attitude, curiosity and willingness to learn; you do not need to meet every requirement to apply.
  • Experience coordinating projects, committees or operational activities with multiple senior stakeholders.
  • Strong planning and organisational skills with attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to build relationships with colleagues, volunteers and customers.
  • Ability to produce high‑quality written communication, reports or meeting documentation.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft 365 applications, including Teams, Share Point and Excel.
  • Ability to work independently while contributing to a collaborative team; professionalism, discretion and sound judgment.
  • Experience in a professional membership organisation, healthcare, education or governance environment is beneficial but not essential.
  • Experience of working in an intercultural context is a useful advantage.
