Join our team in Dumfries as a Dispensary Operations Assistant
This position is working 8:30am - 5:00pm Monday to Thursday and 9:00am - 5:00pm on a Friday.
About the role
- Dispensary
- To check, make up - and prepare for shipment orders for Direct to Consumer Customers.
- You might be asked to work in any of the teams to cover operational requirements, holidays etc. We work on a job rotation.
- Replenishment
- Unpack, check and put received goods to correct warehouse locations
- Complete stock replenishments as directed. Ensure accurate and timely stock movement reporting to maintain the highest possible levels of location accuracy.
- Undertake cyclical stock counts as directed
- Ecommerce
- Preparing fridge packaging for fridge orders
- Pick and pack of fridge goods
- Pick and pack on conveyor orders as well as completing label pick and pet food picks. Using high and low level order pickers where necessary
- Ensuring orders are packed neatly to help minimize the risk of damages
- Labelling of items where necessary for specific customers (DSO)
- Ensure collections are dealt with in a timely manner
- Load and unload vehicles for internal moves and couriers - Forklift and Bendi use required
- Ensure deadlines are met for courier collections
- Work between sites in Dumfries where necessary
- Returns
- Process customer returned goods as per written instructions.
- Inventory Control
- Conduct stock counts ensuring correct batch and expiry information is logged.
Count items as directed by the cycle count plan or as required to correct issues.
Investigate stock discrepancies to identify the root cause.
Ensure stock rotation is correct.
- Respond to emails requests and queries from other parts of the business with good email etiquette ensuring answers are accurate and helpful.
- Product slotting - review sales data to determine bin size and position requirements and move products to a more appropriate bin when necessary.
- New product set up, ensuring dimensions and weight are accurately recorded. Allocate pick bin for the product based on the expected sales and size of item.
- Interrogate internal ERP system to investigate stock discrepancies.
- Use spreadsheets to record data and to aid investigation processes.
About You
The ability to work as a team member within the group and to co-operate with other departments is a necessary requirement for this position.
Flexibility of working hours and the ability to work overtime when required are essential.
Experience working within a warehouse environment and the normal processes involved within this would be desirable.
Good attention to detail.
Education
Basic literacy and numeracy are essential for covering the core duties of the role. Open to gaining further education by completion of SQP training if required.
Specialised Knowledge and Skills
Good level of computer literacy (Microsoft Excel and email). Working knowledge of Wholesale ERP system desirable
