We are looking for a Development Project Officer to support the delivery of affordable housing across Lincolnshire.
Working with the Development Project Manager, you will help take schemes from concept to completion by supporting s106 and grant-funded projects, working with local partners, and ensuring homes are delivered compliantly, efficiently, and in line with our growth ambitions.
Responsibilities
- Support the Development Project Manager to move new-build schemes forward from feasibility through construction, handover and completion.
- Assist with project administration across s106 and grant-funded projects, coordinating with local authorities, developers, contractors, consultants and internal colleagues.
- Visit sites to monitor progress, attend inspections, and support quality and readiness for handover.
- Maintain accurate scheme records and contribute to reports and internal approvals.
- Support financial processes including invoices, payments and budget monitoring.
- Help build strong relationships with local authorities, developers, contractors, and site teams.
- Drive continuous improvement by ensuring information is accurate, timely, and well-organised.
Qualifications
- What we'd need
- Strong attitude and values: builds trust through openness and accountability, treats customers with dignity and respect, works collaboratively and shows empathy.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and work effectively under pressure.
- Good IT skills (Microsoft Word and Excel) and confidence using development systems.
- A full driving license and access to a vehicle.
Desirable
- Experience in social or affordable housing, construction, or a property-related environment.
- Experience within a housing association or local authority development team.
- Knowledge of Homes England funding requirements and compliance.
- Experience liaising with developers, contractors, and site teams; understanding the new-build housing development process including s106 acquisitions.
- Where you'll work
This role is based in Lincolnshire and will be split between Grimsby and Boston, with regular travel to schemes across East Lindsey and occasional travel to other locations.
You will be able to claim mileage for these journeys.
You will have the autonomy to manage your own diary and the flexibility to work from locations that best support project delivery (main offices, community hubs, home, or other suitable locations).
Benefits
- Salary of £36,157 per year with a range of benefits: 24 days annual leave plus bank holidays, increasing with service; up to 2 extra days per year through attendance reward; option to purchase additional annual leave; up to 7 days paid Family Emergency Leave.
