Cyber Threat Defense Analyst

Join our Cyber Threat Incident Response (CTIR) team based in our London office as a Cyber Threat Defense Analyst.

In this role, you will be responsible for detecting, identifying, triaging, and mitigating threats and risks across our global cyber environment.

Job Overview

As a key member of the CTIR team, you will actively triage and respond to advanced cyber threats targeting Macquarie's global infrastructure and businesses.

You will also analyze attack trends, assess vulnerabilities, and provide defensive recommendations to strengthen our security posture.

Responsibilities

  • Triage and respond to advanced cyber threats via tools such as Splunk, EDR, and PCAPs.
  • Analyze attack trends facing the organization and industry to define proactive defensive measures.
  • Analyze critical vulnerabilities and their threat potential, making defensive recommendations as necessary.
  • Perform malware analysis - manual, static, and dynamic.

Qualifications

  • Experience in aggregate log analysis using Splunk or similar platforms.
  • Knowledge and operational experience with an Endpoint Detection and Response (EDR) platform.
  • Offensive security/adversarial mindset and knowledge of threat actor TTPs.
  • Minimum of 5 years of related security or technology experience in large enterprise environments.
