We're supporting a leading organisation delivering some of the UK's most complex and mission-critical cyber programmes. This is an opportunity for experienced Software Engineers to work on cutting-edge operational cyber challenges, developing capabilities that directly support national security.
You'll join a highly technical engineering team specialising in secure software development, vulnerability research and high‑assurance systems, working alongside some of the brightest minds in the industry.
What You'll Be Doing
- Designing, developing and testing secure, high‑assurance software solutions.
- Building robust applications with security embedded throughout the development lifecycle.
- Working across multiple operating systems, languages and technologies.
- Conducting peer reviews and mentoring junior engineers.
- Applying modern engineering practices including CI/CD, automated testing and secure development methodologies.
- Researching emerging technologies and identifying potential security risks.
What We're Looking For
- Software engineering using C++, Java or C#
- Scripting or automation using Python, JavaScript, PowerShell or similar
- Secure software development and software engineering best practices
- Source control, debugging, testing and continuous integration
- Linux and/or Windows operating systems
- Strong understanding of core computer science principles
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work within highly collaborative engineering teams
- Previous experience within cyber security is beneficial but not essential - strong software engineers with an interest in security are encouraged to apply.
