About the role
We have 2 new opportunities for a Site Operative position based at our Recycling Site in Edmonton, North London. Working as part of a new team at our new Reuse and Recycling Centre at the EcoPark in North London, you will have a strong customer service background and will act as the first point of contact to the public, providing a professional service by giving advice, direction, and assistance, ensuring that waste is received and deposited correctly.
Responsibilities
- Deliver a consistent high level of customer service, working to company standards and contract requirements.
- Assist members of the public where safe and appropriate, and oversee the sorting and safe disposal of customers' waste and recycling materials.
- Advise on correct segregation of waste and recycling into relevant containers / storage areas.
- Monitor and direct traffic movements within the facility.
- Carry out general site duties including housekeeping of site grounds, buildings and staff facilities.
- Operate the site in line with current company policies and procedures.
Qualifications & Personal Attributes
- Reliable and punctual.
- Ability to work as part of a team.
- Flexible approach may be required to learn other roles within the site to ensure effective operating procedures.
- Willingness to learn operations and undergo appropriate training.
- Ability to work shifts in a pattern, including some weekends.
- Previous customer experience is desirable.
- Working in a similar role is desirable.
