About the Role: Curriculum Manager SEND

Join our London‑based Further Education team as a SEND Curriculum Manager and lead the development and delivery of outstanding, inclusive programmes that shape your student’s futures.

This role is offered on a full‑term, permanent basis and operates within the capital city college’s forward‑thinking leadership team.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the development and delivery of outstanding educational SEND provision.
  • Work collaboratively with staff across departments to implement innovative and inclusive practices that support learners and colleagues.
  • Line‑manage teaching and support staff, driving performance and accountability.
  • Design, plan and deliver high‑quality, learner‑focused curriculum programmes from pre‑entry to Level1.
  • Maintain a solid understanding of compliance, funding regulations and quality‑assurance processes.
  • Use data effectively to improve learner attendance, retention and progression.
  • Manage budgets and resources to ensure cost‑effective, high‑impact delivery.
  • Prepare for and contribute to internal and external audits, inspections (e. g., Ofsted) and quality reviews.

Qualifications

  • Proven success in leading teams or departments within an educational or comparable setting.
  • Deep understanding of curriculum design, quality assurance and student achievement.
  • Strong strategic thinking, communication and people‑management skills.
  • Collaborative mindset with the ability to build effective internal and external partnerships.
  • Commitment to creating inclusive and empowering learning environments.
  • Proactive, strategic mindset with a commitment to continuous improvement and learner success.
  • A relevant teaching qualification and leadership training (or willingness to obtain these) with experience in SEND.
