HGV Technician – Veolia (Croydon)
Salary: Up to £50,299.00 per annum + £720 Per Month night shift allowance. Overtime: 1.5x normal rate, 2x rate for Sundays and bank holidays. Sign‑on and retention bonus of £3,000.
Hours: 40 hours per week – Monday to Thursday night shift 8:00 PM to 6:30 AM, 30‑minute lunch break. Location: Croydon Workshop, Stubbs Mead, Factory Lane, Croydon, CR0 3RL.

Responsibilities
- Repair and maintain Veolia fleet, third‑party vehicles and plant according to manufacturer and industry standards.
- Run diagnostics on vehicles using a range of equipment.
- Handle hydraulic, electrical, and pneumatic diagnostics and repairs.
- Carry out other general work as required by the Workshop Management Team.
- Work within Health & Safety regulations and be responsible for personal safety and that of others.
- Ensure all necessary paperwork and timesheets are completed accurately.
- Carry out HGV MOT inspections and preparations (IRTEC licence preferred but training can be provided).
- Complete roadside repairs as necessary (training will be provided).
Qualifications
- Previous experience as a Mechanical Fitter / HGV Technician, ideally with an NVQ Level 3 Vehicle Qualification.
- Awareness and understanding of health and safety requirements.
- HGV driving licence (preferred but not essential).
- Own comprehensive tool kit (diagnostic equipment and specialised tools are provided by Veolia).
