Job Description
The Role
Global Studios is an exciting new focus for Global – where all podcasts, both audio and video‑led shows, exist under the Global Studios umbrella brand.
Whether they are Global Originals (produced in‑house at Global), 3rd party shows that Global hosts and monetizes, or our recent acquisitions, The Fellas Studios and Gary Neville’s Overlap offering.
Global Studios is already home to some of the UK’s leading shows such as The News Agents, The Sports Agents, My Therapist Ghosted Me, Stick To Football, The Fellas, Saving Grace, and many more.
At Global Studios, we have huge ambitions to grow this brand – increasing our content and the revenue we generate.
Responsibilities
As a Senior Partnerships Manager at Global Studios, you will
- Establish a clear, strong and collaborative working relationship with other members of your agency hub, especially the other Senior Partnerships Manager – your hub ‘co‑pilot’
- Develop your agency hub strategy collaboratively to ensure you and the hub team can identify the key contacts and teams to target, pitch to and win business from.
This agency hub strategy will be critical to your success.
- Learn about, become familiar with, and subsequently sell, all ad formats across the Global Studios offering – spot, host reads, headline sponsorships, branded content – in audio, video & social.
- Work with the wider Global Studios support team including branded content, business development, to pitch desirable campaign ideas.
- Work closely with Global’s wider Partnership team to identify potential opportunities that will be Global Studios led, or can include Global Studios on a Global led response.
- Understand the wider Global business, and where relevant, include opportunities outside Global Studios.
- Sell campaigns that are deliverable, and work with the Campaign Delivery team to ensure they are delivered smoothly from start to finish.
- Provide support to the agency hub Partnership Manager, and lead the hub Sales Planner.
- Strive to hit and exceed your agency hub target – and subsequently help in hitting the wider Global Studios Revenue target.
- Be out in market, building relationships, pitching and presenting as much as possible.
- How You’ll Split Your Time
External meetings (45%) – You’ll be out with agencies and clients, talking up the podcast medium, showcasing the Global Studios slate, and convincing customers to invest in our offering.
Developing your agency strategy (20%) – Constantly evolving your hub strategy, identifying who to see, how to approach them, developing & becoming familiar with our narrative.
Creating brief responses, tailored decks (25%) – With help from your planner, and support from marketing, insights and design, create GTM materials that you are proud to share & present.
This also includes responding to briefs, and working alongside our support teams such as Branded Content, and liaising with agencies and clients.
Absorb, learn, listen & bond (10%) – Talk to the wider Global Studios team. Learn about the business. Be curious, ask questions, make friends.
Enjoy our content (10%) – For the eagle‑eyed reading this, this takes us to 110%.
You will need to be fluent & knowledgeable about our content.
We would hope and expect you to enjoy our content in your own time too as part of your wider media consumption.
- What You’ll Love About This Role
- Think Big – Every day is an opportunity to push boundaries, working across your agency hub and other GS departments to bring fresh ideas to life.
- Own It – take responsibility to deliver your targets, be resilient – but seek help when needed.
- Keep it Simple – Never over complicate our sell – sell what is easy to deliver, so your time & stress levels are well balanced.
- Better Together – Adopt the Global Studios culture where we collaborate, share expertise, and be respectful of all others in doing so.
- What Success Looks Like
