We have an exciting opportunity for an Accounts Senior on a permanent basis in our Chorley office.

TC Smith & Goulding are looking to expand and strengthen their team with recruiting an Accounts Senior on a full time basis.

The role will provide the opportunity to widen your experience and progress further in the firm.

Key responsibilities of an Accounts Senior will include

  • Preparation of sole trader and partnership accounts
  • Preparation of company accounts and corporation tax returns
  • Review and finalise of year end accounts prepared by junior members of staff for Director/ Manager sign off
  • Review of VAT returns and bookkeeping prepared by junior members of staff
  • Assistance with the preparation of personal tax returns for manager review
  • Provide cloud software training for staff and clients - Sage, Xero and Quickbooks
  • Coaching junior members of staff in their role
  • General office administration tasks

About you

  • We are looking for candidates with the following skills and experience:
  • Ideally you will have formal qualifications such as AAT qualified or working towards ACCA/ACA qualification
  • Proficient in Microsoft packages, particularly Word and Excel
  • Experience in cloud packages such as Quick Books, Xero & SAGE
  • Is eager to progress and develop, with the willingness to adapt
  • Demonstrates a high level of honesty and integrity
  • An effective communicator and listener and who and would collaborate well with the rest of our team
  • Wants to make a positive impact on our firm and be part of our journey into the future
