PURPOSE OF THE JOB
As the Chief of Staff, you will act as a trusted partner for the Global Head of Private Wealth & Corporate in driving leadership effectiveness, business prioritisation and execution discipline, while also supporting the articulation, alignment and delivery of the strategy for the business.
Working in close partnership with other client segment management team members, the role ensures:
- Alignment between commercial strategy, financial objectives and delivery capability
- Clear translation of strategy into practical, prioritised initiatives
- Consistent communication of strategy across shareholder, Board and internal stakeholders
The role acts as a coordinator across Growth, Finance, Technology and the wider business, ensuring clarity, alignment and disciplined execution in relation to strategy for Ocorian's services to the Private Wealth & Corporate client segment.
MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES
- Chief of Staff support to the Global Head
- Act as a trusted adviser and strategic partner to the Global Head, helping to maximise focus, effectiveness and follow-through across the business.
- Support the Global Head in:
- Prioritising time and leadership attention against the most important business matters
- Structuring and framing decisions for leadership discussion
- Identifying trade‑offs, dependencies and unresolved issues
- Preparing for key internal and external meetings
- Ensuring actions and commitments are followed through consistently
- Serve as an extension of the Global Head in coordinating across the leadership team and wider business, helping to maintain momentum on critical priorities.
- Strategy alignment, translation and performance insight
- Support the Global Head in articulating, prioritising and evolving strategic ambitions.
- Ensure alignment between:
- Commercial strategy (via leadership team)
- Financial plans and targets (via Finance Partner)
- Operational and delivery capability (via management team, Client delivery and HR business partner)
- Other Ocorian Functions
- Translate strategic direction into clear initiatives, sequencing and delivery plans.
- Develop and maintain simple, actionable metrics linking: Strategy > commercial performance > financial outcomes.
- Provide insight to support decision‑making and refinement of priorities.
- Integration of commercial and financial priorities
- Work jointly with Private Wealth and Corporate leaders and Finance Partner to:
- Align growth ambitions with financial targets and constraints
- Ensure consistency between pipeline, revenue expectations and capacity
- Support translation of commercial priorities into:
- Operational implications (resourcing, delivery model)
- Financial implications (investment, returns, cost-to-serve)
- Strategy execution and governance
- Establish and maintain a clear execution framework, including:
- Prioritisation of initiatives
- Defined ownership and accountability
- Ongoing tracking and reporting
- Support a light‑touch strategic PMO capability.
- Ensure visibility of progress, dependencies and delivery risks across the leadership team.
- Stakeholder management, governance and communication
- A core focus of the role is ensuring clarity, alignment and confidence across key stakeholder groups:
- Shareholder:
- Support preparation of materials demonstrating strategy, performance and value creation
- Ensure a clear and consistent narrative on progress against strategic objectives
- Board:
- Coordinate and contribute to clear, concise and outcome‑focused board papers and updates
- Support alignment between Board expectations and business priorities
- Private Wealth & Corporate Leadership Team:
- Facilitate alignment between Growth, Finance, Technology and delivery teams
- Support structured discussions on priorities, trade‑offs and sequencing
- Ensure consistency of messaging and understanding across the leadership group
- Wider organisation:
- Support communication of strategy and priorities
- Help ensure strategic objectives are understood and embedded across teams
- Technology alignment and strategic oversight
- Work with technology leadership to ensure strategic priorities are reflected in technology direction and roadmap.
- Provide oversight and challenge on prioritisation of technology‑enabled initiatives.
- M&A and strategic activity
- Support Global Head in M&A and strategic investment activity, including:
- Reviewing and providing input into strategic rationale and materials prepared by Corporate Development and advisors
- Coordinating inputs across commercial, operational and leadership stakeholders
- Supporting alignment of potential transactions with the broader strategy and operating model
- Support tracking of post-transaction value creation initiatives.

Experience in a Chief of Staff role or similar.
