Join our established Sport & Exercise team and help shape the next generation of Sports Therapy and Rehabilitation practitioners through outstanding teaching, applied learning and professional practice. Canterbury Christ Church University is seeking to appoint a Lecturer/Senior Lecturer in Sports Therapy and Rehabilitation to join our thriving Subject Area of Sport & Exercise within the School of Science, Psychology, Arts and Humanities, Computing, Engineering & Sport.

You will join an experienced and collaborative team delivering high-quality undergraduate and postgraduate education across Sport & Exercise. Our BASRaT-accredited Sports Therapy and Rehabilitation provision combines academic excellence with extensive practical and clinical experience, providing students with authentic learning opportunities through specialist facilities, placements, consultancy and clinical activity.

This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to teaching, curriculum development, research, consultancy, knowledge exchange and external engagement within a supportive and ambitious academic environment. We are looking for an enthusiastic academic and/or practitioner with expertise in Sports Therapy and Rehabilitation who is passionate about delivering an outstanding student experience.

You will have experience in injury rehabilitation and exercise prescription across a range of populations, together with expertise in areas such as soft tissue therapy, exercise physiology and clinical skills. Experience as both a clinician and educator would be advantageous, as would experience supporting placements, clinical education or applied practice.

You will hold a good undergraduate degree and postgraduate qualification in a relevant discipline together with BASRaT registration (or be eligible and willing to obtain registration within an agreed timeframe). Higher education teaching experience is essential, while a PhD, research profile and PHICIS (Pre-Hospital Immediate Care in Sport) Level 2 (or equivalent) would be advantageous.

Above all, you will be committed to developing students, working collaboratively with colleagues and contributing positively to our teaching, research, consultancy and knowledge exchange activities.
