About the role

The role will involve designing and benchmarking new protocols for quantum error correction across a distributed quantum architecture.

Successful candidates will work in a collaborative team of theorists and programmers, with support from theoretical and experimental physicists.

Responsibilities

  • Developing new protocols for distributed quantum error correction.
  • Benchmarking protocols and designs through numerical simulations.
  • Developing code as part of a team.
  • Communicating with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Representing the company externally through publications, patents, and conferences.
  • Your skills, qualifications and experience
  • Essential: Ph D in quantum computing or related area, or equivalent industry experience.
  • Track record of high-quality publications.
  • Ability to work in a team and with other cross-functional teams.
  • Experience with programming in Python.
  • Ability to communicate clearly with internal and external partners.

Desirable

  • Research experience in quantum error correction.
  • Experience with quantum programming languages such as Qiskit and Cirq.
  • Experience in classical or quantum networks.
