Role overview
You will work as a member of the payroll team on a range of accounting tasks in relation to the processing of Darktrace's global payroll and benefits. You will ensure that all payroll and benefits journals are processed and support payroll month end.
Responsibilities
- Support the accurate and timely processing of designated payroll journals.
- Respond to queries around the payroll journals you are responsible for.
- Update and reconcile the monthly SoFP and/or SoPL workbook.
- Post month-end accruals and prepayments.
- Assist with audits including group consolidated, parent, and subsidiary audits.
- Post benefits and payroll invoices and any prepayment releases.
- Support ad hoc reporting - STBV, PSA and Gender Pay Gap.
Qualifications
- AAT Level 4 required, ideally working towards ACCA/CIMA.
- Experience in a payroll or accounting team, preferably within a medium/large-sized international company.
- Proficiency in Excel and Word; advanced proficiency in accounting software and systems.
- Highly organised with excellent attention to detail and ability to prioritise work within defined timelines.
- Confident in addressing and escalating matters with colleagues to resolve underlying issues.
- Effective communication skills with finance and non-finance staff; collaborative, proactive, and able to tackle both new and routine tasks.
- Flexible working to accommodate key monthly deadlines at peak times.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret and apply payroll data to improve processes and resolve issues.
