About the Role

The purpose of this position is to lead manufacturing operations across multiple production lines, ensuring safe, high‑quality and cost‑effective production while driving performance across safety, quality, cost, delivery, morale and productivity. The role embeds continuous improvement, develops team capability and leverages digital tools, ensuring compliance with food safety, health & safety, environmental and ethical standards through strong governance and cross‑functional collaboration.

The role requires safe, compliant operations, audit‑ready standards, product quality, and right‑first‑time performance. Production plans are delivered through effective scheduling and constraint management, improving OEE, productivity and operational efficiency. The leader controls costs, reduces waste, improves material yield, partners with Engineering to maximise uptime and asset performance, and drives sustainability initiatives to reduce environmental impact.

Additional responsibilities include leading, coaching and developing high‑performing teams and future talent, fostering an inclusive, engaged and performance‑driven culture, using data and digital tools for decision‑making, delivering site projects, upgrades and operational change, maintaining robust governance, documentation and contractor compliance, collaborating cross‑functionally to manage risk, supporting long‑term site strategy and capability building, and enabling innovation, product transfers and growth opportunities.

Key Know‑How

  • Experience leading large teams (>6 shift managers, 100+ front‑line teams & engineers).
  • Change Leadership – collaborate and influence across Planning, Engineering, Quality/Technical, H&S, Procurement, NPD and Logistics to resolve constraints, manage risk and deliver shared outcomes.
  • Commercial Awareness – exposure to customer and finance interface.
  • In‑depth knowledge of manufacturing operations (FMCG manufacturing experience).
  • Knowledge of HSE and food safety & quality requirements.
  • Proven track record of continuous improvement within a previous role.
