What you’ll do
- Lead the day-to-day operation of the Fresh department to deliver the best availability and the highest shop floor standards through effective execution, waste management, and date code compliance while ensuring safety and legality for customers and colleagues.
- Lead the shrink agenda through the Fresh team, driving standards and acting on opportunities with clear actions.
- Plan and execute all trading activity on the shop floor, delivering strong availability, key metrics, and KRAs through routine processes.
- Engage and coach the team to continually improve routines and processes, fostering a culture of selling with personality and encouraging additional item placements in baskets while serving customers with heart and pride.
- Ensure shop floor, promotional, and modular activity is delivered to brief and on time to drive the store selling agenda.
What you’ll bring
- Experience as Team Leader or Supervisor in a retail environment.
- Operational knowledge of food or non-food departments.
- Knowledge of improving availability, reducing waste, and managing shrink.
- Experience developing teams and managing change through leadership and building resilience.
- Strong organizational skills and great customer service.
- Flexibility to work a range of shifts, including weekends and evenings.
