Role Overview
In the role of Lifeguard you will ensure the best levels of service for customers by offering a friendly, clean and safe environment. You will work as part of a team to maintain quality standards and help customers of all ages and abilities feel supported.
Responsibilities
- Provide excellent customer service and maintain a welcoming, inclusive atmosphere.
- Carry out regular cleaning, maintenance and preparation of swimming areas and equipment.
- Support other staff members and promote teamwork across organisational boundaries.
- Follow all health and safety procedures and participate in ongoing training.
- Assist in coaching and improving swimming skills for colleagues if required.
- Keep records of incidents, drownings and flow to senior staff as per policy.
Qualifications
- Competent swimming ability (additional coaching provided).
- Knowledge of NPLQ (National Pool Lifeguard Qualification) is required.
- Enhanced DBS check (mandatory).
- First Aid at Work is desirable.
- Strong interpersonal and customer‑oriented skills.
- Team‑orientated approach and ability to work flexibly across shift patterns.
Working Hours
37 hours per week, Monday – Sunday on a rota basis.
