Headquartered in Dublin, we deliver projects across Europe and are seeking a QA/QC CSA Engineer to join our team on a major data centre project in Blyth, United Kingdom.
This role is pivotal in ensuring that all works are delivered to the highest standards of quality, safety, and compliance.
The successful candidate will work closely with the Construction Manager, Project Manager, and Quality Team to develop and implement quality control procedures, ensuring that all construction activities meet project requirements and client expectations.
Responsibilities
- Monitor and inspect CSA works to ensure compliance with project specifications, drawings, standards, and regulations.
- Develop, implement, and maintain project-specific Quality Assurance (QA) and Quality Control (QC) procedures for CSA works.
- Review and verify method statements, inspection & test plans (ITPs), and quality documentation submitted by subcontractors.
- Carry out site inspections and audits to verify compliance and issue non-conformance reports (NCRs) where required.
- Support the CSA team in resolving quality issues, providing technical advice, and ensuring corrective actions are implemented.
- Collaborate with design teams, project engineers, and subcontractors to ensure timely close-out of quality-related matters.
- Ensure materials and workmanship are inspected, tested, and documented in line with specifications and standards.
- Manage and maintain accurate records of inspections, tests, certifications, and other quality-related documentation.
- Contribute to performance monitoring and reporting by updating project quality records and supporting regular reporting cycles.
- Participate in project handover activities, ensuring completion of quality dossiers, O&M manuals, and final QA/QC documentation.
- Promote a strong culture of quality, health, safety, and compliance across all CSA works.
Qualifications
- Relevant Engineering or Construction degree qualification (Mechanical or Electrical discipline preferred).
- Proven experience as a QA/QC Engineer in large-scale construction projects, ideally within the data centre, industrial, or technology sectors.
- Strong understanding of CSA construction methods, standards, and regulatory requirements.
- Experience in developing and implementing QA/QC procedures and managing inspections and test plans.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage effectively with internal teams and subcontractors.
- Excellent attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to produce accurate documentation.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced, technical, and deadline-driven environment.
