The Yorkshire Clinic is one of West Yorkshire's leading private hospitals set in three acres of woodland in the grounds of Cottingley Hall near Bingley. The hospital opened in 1982 and has 57 bedrooms including one twin-bedded room all with en suite facilities. The five fully equipped theatres, all with ultra clean air technology, are particularly suitable for orthopaedic procedures, such as arthroscopy, hip and knee replacement.
Responsibilities
This is a varied post and involves a mixture of clinical duties on the ward alongside the inpatient team and in the outpatient department. Clinical duties include working alongside physiotherapists on the ward seeing orthopaedic patients and in the outpatient team assisting with post-operative rehabilitation classes and physiotherapy pre-assessment clinics. There will also be the necessity to support the team with administrative duties. The physiotherapy department delivers a structured in-service training programme, underpinned by regular clinical supervision, mentoring, and peer group support. The job involves the safe moving and handling of patients and equipment so the successful applicant must have good physical health to meet this need.
