Overview
Breakfast Club and Afterschool Wraparound – Childcare Activity Leader / Playworker
Location: Biggleswade Academy, Biggleswade
Hours: 20 hours per week (split shifts breakfast and after-school club, Monday to Friday)
Pay: In line with national minimum wage for age
Contract: Term time – permanent
What you will do day-to-day:
- Deliver exciting, age-appropriate activities such as multi-sports, arts & crafts, group games, and creative play.
- Set up engaging play spaces and maintain safety, cleanliness, and engagement.
- Supervise children with care and enthusiasm, ensuring every child feels welcome, safe, and included.
- Prepare snacks and manage sign-in/out processes with a friendly face and attention to detail.
- Work split shifts: 7:30–9:00am and 3:00–5:30pm.
- Be a team player who can also take the lead when needed.

What we’re looking for:

- A team player who is also confident running activities and managing a group
- Bonus points if you have experience in teaching, coaching, childcare, or youth work (not essential; personality matters)

Please note: This role requires compliance with the Keeping Children Safe in Education policy and is exempt from the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act (ROA) 1974.
