The School of Education and English includes a range of undergraduate and postgraduate Initial Teacher Training (ITT) courses in primary and secondary education. It also offers full-time Education and English courses and a substantial work-based education portfolio for those already supporting learning in educational settings.
The School of Education and English at the University of Bedfordshire is offering an opportunity for an enthusiastic colleague with an active interest in teaching, research and enterprise to join its primary education team. We are seeking to appoint an academic with Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) to teach, and lead practice in our primary education programmes. This includes: PGCE Primary Education with QTS (3-7); PGCE Primary Education with QTS (5-11); BA Primary Education with QTS (3-7); BA Primary Education with QTS (5-11).
The post holder will play a key role in supporting and delivering a range of education units across these courses which lead to Qualified Teacher Status.
Responsibilities- Mentoring student teachers and a proven track record in sharing good practice and leading teacher development activities.
- Support and deliver education units across primary education courses leading to QTS.
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
- Knowledge and understanding of national and international perspectives in primary education.
- Understanding of contemporary research and development in the field of primary education.
- Substantial teaching and professional expertise.
