About the role

You’ll play a key role in helping students transition from living at home to fully independent living, while ensuring all accommodation users have the best possible experience during their stay with us.

Your responsibilities will include

  • Line managing cleaning and portering staff
  • Investigating and reporting maintenance issues
  • Ensuring health and safety guidance is followed
  • Acting as the face of the department and engaging with students and visitors

This role involves working on a 5 over 7 rota.

Cleaning is required in some areas at weekends, therefore there is an expectation to work weekends on a rota basis.

Weekend rota work requirements apply mainly during the summer peak period.

About you

You'll be an organised and proactive individual with experience of working in a fast-paced operational environment, ideally within accommodation, hospitality or facilities services.

During the summer months, external organisations also use our accommodation and facilities for conferences, summer camps and away days.

This role is offered on a full-time, permanent basis, working 36.5 hours per week.
