What is required from you
- A minimum of 12 months on your right to work
- A background within kitchens and understanding of how to run a professional kitchen
- Knowledge of the IDDSI framework or supporting complex dietary requirements is desirable
- As this is a bank role you must have the flexibility to work day and weekend shifts as and when required
A day in the life of a Cook
- Menu planning - Collaborating with the home manager and residents' requests and wishes; develop and implement menu ideas. Our homes are always having themed days and events where you can showcase your skills and creativity.
- Understanding dietary needs - Work with staff to ensure residents' nutritional and dietary needs including modified textures and allergies.
- Kitchen Management - Be the main point of contact for the kitchen and responsible for day-to-day running of stock management and hygiene standards.
