We are seeking an experienced, enthusiastic and proactive Deputy Facilities Manager to support and develop the delivery of facilities management services across our university estate.

This is an exciting opportunity to join a Facilities Operations team, contributing to the development and operational success of our service delivery across campus and helping maximise the synergy of our operational team.

Working closely with the Facilities Manager, you will help ensure that our academic, residential and administrative buildings provide a safe, efficient and welcoming environment for students, staff and visitors.

You will be instrumental in designing the service portfolio and in developing and motivating the team to effectively deliver the services across campus.

You will be an inspiring individual who enjoys working as part of a team, but who can provide leadership and support as required.

The successful candidate will be educated to degree standard (or equivalent) and hold an IOSH Managing Safely certificate (or be willing to obtain this).

Experience of working in a fast moving facilities management or service delivery role, logistically planning staffing and services and experience of managing a team in an operational environment is essential.

The ability to communicate in Welsh is desirable for this post.

This role will be located on campus at Bangor.

Through our Dynamic Working framework, there will also be the option to spend some time working remotely (although remaining in the UK) to support work life balance, which will be discussed further with candidates at interview.
