- Healthcare Assistant - Day & Night Shifts
You will be expected to work on a full‑time basis (37.5 hours per week) on a flexible departmental rota which may include weekends and overnight shifts.
Earnings will be enhanced by at least 30% for evening, weekend, bank holiday and night work.
Responsibilities
- As a Healthcare Assistant on the busy wards at Cherwell Hospital you will:
- Assist patients with activities of daily living, including personal care, therapy, and social/emotional support.
- Support the healthcare team in delivering high‑quality clinical outcomes within a supportive environment.
- Maintain a calm, practical approach in challenging situations, paying close attention to detail.
Qualifications & Experience
- NVQ level 2 or 3 (advantage).
- Hospital experience (advantage).
- Warm, considerate and empathetic interpersonal style.
- Commitment to support individuals and assist with activities of daily living.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to use initiative and make decisions when appropriate.
- Flexible and positive attitude.
- Basic computer literacy.
