ABOUT THE ROLE
As one of our Customer Delivery Drivers, you'll bring a unique blend of Waitrose produce and Partner-led service to customers' doors.
When not out on the road, you'll support the shop with daily tasks such as stock replenishment and housekeeping, contributing to the efficient and friendly operation of the shop.
Note: Night Premium applies to hours between 22:00 and 06:00 at a rate of £3.75 per hour, including for existing Partners enrolled in Enhanced Hours Premium arrangements.
To apply for this role, you must be 18 years or older.
Responsibilities
- Check daily delivery routes.
- Load and prepare the van for deliveries; ensure all orders are packed for efficient delivery to customers.
- Complete vehicle safety checks, maintain road compliance and health and safety standards.
- Represent the Waitrose brand on the road with a focus on excellent customer service.
- Assist customers with their shopping and build rapport based on trust and service.
- Support the wider shop team with general shopkeeping tasks when required.
Essential skills and experience
- Full valid B-category UK manual driving licence with no more than 6 points.
- Excellent customer service skills.
- Ability to meet the physical requirements of the role (e. g., lifting crates, climbing stairs, moving cages).
Desirable skills and experience
- Prevous driving experience and knowledge of chilled vehicles are welcomed; full training is provided to perform at your best.

- Pay: £13.00 per hour (£13.25 after 90 days).
- Contract Type: Temporary.
- Hours: Varied part-time hours across seven days, including early starts, late finishes, evenings and weekends, 06:00–23:00.
- Job Level: Partnership Level 10.
