Responsibilities

  • Support the translational partnerships portfolio to ensure smooth collaboration, communication, mutual value creation and risk management.
  • Coordinate and operationally manage Sanger partnerships with industry collaborators and our spinout companies.
  • Act as the interface with internal operational functions, supporting the smooth running of joint work and appropriate reporting.
  • Work closely with faculty engaged in collaborative work and participate in joint steering groups when established.
  • Build relationships and serve as the first point of contact for collaborating partners.
  • Identify and seek opportunities to grow partner engagement and secure mutual benefits for all stakeholders.

Qualifications and Skills

  • Proven experience in supporting the operation and coordination of research partnerships with industry or business development activities.
  • Good understanding of academic culture, intellectual property and open science.
  • Familiarity with sponsored research processes and frameworks.
  • Experience in higher education, research institutions or industry R&D environments.
  • Strong project‑management, operational and organisational skills.
  • Excellent stakeholder‑management and relationship‑building ability.
  • Problem‑solving mindset and strong teamwork orientation.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
