Role Overview

We are looking to recruit two Relief Facility Assistants to join the current facilities team, working across Ceredigion County Council's Direct Services residential care homes.

These posts will provide additional flexible capacity to support the service during periods of sickness, annual leave, training and short-term operational pressures.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the facilities team in maintaining a clean and safe environment across residential care homes.
  • Assist with routine maintenance tasks and report any issues.
  • Provide practical support as required during staffing shortages, training and short-term operational pressures.
  • Key Qualifications
  • Previous experience in a similar practical role.
  • Full and valid UK driving licence.
  • Access to a vehicle or transport for business travel.
  • Commitment to maintaining a high‑quality environment.
  • Good communication skills and ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Additional Requirements
  • Enhanced DBS check.
  • Welsh language skills desirable; expected to develop required Welsh language levels within two years.
