The Role
The PVH Visual Merchandising team is ultimately responsible for creating and implementing the amazing visual displays we see in our showrooms, at events and in our stores across the Hub North (UK, Ireland, Netherlands and the Nordics). They act as brand guardians, maintaining the look and feel whilst protecting the strong visual and globally recognized brand aesthetics so many of us have come to identify with.
The VM Operations Manager, Hub North role will strategically connect and collaborate closely with four other sub teams within the Visual Merchandising teams for Region North, reporting to the VM Director, Hub North. The main objective is to drive overall communication and structure to the markets in the region; this includes all digital communication, operations, budget management, guidelines, POS/campaign change outs, consumer messaging, seasonal training and special events.
The main contribution is managing both internal communication within various parts of the business in addition to external consumer facing areas, whilst creating strong partnership on campaign roll outs across all points of sale within PVH brands (CK and TH). This role will also work with the central Amsterdam team to ensure true 360 alignment. You will also partner closely with central and local marketing, wholesale, buying and merchandising teams to constantly improve and elevate consumer messaging experience.
Operations
- Driving the Hub North visual calendar and deliver accurate timely communication on all visual merchandising, display and windows for all divisions to VM Managers, field partners, store teams and key stakeholders.
- Delivering communication tools to the VM team including weekly, monthly, seasonal, and annual updates across the region.
- Managing the seasonal campaign images and collateral roll outs for the Tommy Hilfiger and Calvin Klein brands for the Northern Hub, working in close collaboration with the VM Managers.
- Managing the seasonal in-store POS and consumer messaging roll outs for the Tommy Hilfiger and Calvin Klein brands for Hub North, working in close collaboration with the VM Managers, central and local teams.
- Collaborating with the regional teams in the UK, Ireland, Nordics and Netherlands, ensuring consumer messaging is in line with the regional strategy and continuously optimising POS kits and materials based on the business needs.
- Partnering closely with the VM Director and lead on communication templates, best practice guidelines, and monitoring reports.
- Driving innovation, best practice and leading by example.
- Managing external suppliers.
- Building a strong working relationship with all internal stakeholders (Store concept, Development, Merchandising, Planning, Brand/Marketing, and Omni-channel teams) to deliver and meet VM expectations and strategy.
Events/Operations
- Driving VM related seasonal events in collaboration with all pillars of the VM, Display, and Windows team including all physical or virtual kick offs including: seasonal Kick Offs and Models.
- Driving and implementing store strategy across Hub North.
- Supporting with the creation of digital and physical VM training/learning for Hub North.
- Ensuring StorIQ information is uploaded and checked regularly.
- Driving team workshops and meeting strategies in collaboration with all regional teams.
- Developing guidelines, including creation and use of Matterport 360 filming.
- Managing local VM data base and team communications across the Hub North.
- Managing the VM budgets in collaboration with VM Director, VM Managers and Finance team for seasonal events, model stores, systems/software, TH in-store POS and CK consumer messaging across all channels including recharges.
About YOU
- You’ll have 2-4 years of VM experience minimum, with at least 1 year as operations/communications lead (or similar role).
- You’ll have experience in digital communication/operations/fashion or retail management.
- You’ll have good knowledge of MS Office and Adobe programs (InDesign, Illustrator), and good understanding of SketchUp.
- You’ll have experience and a proven record of delivering professional communication tools, delivering highly effective materials, managing people and projects, team-player.
- You’ll have strong planning and organizational skills, with the ability to multi task and work under pressure.
- You’ll have excellent communication skills, strong English skills (written & spoken).
- You’ll have strong fashion affinity and knowledge along with relevant awareness of the retail/communication industries.
- You’ll have the ability to manage and multi-task between projects and work streams.
- You’ll have the ability to be self-reliant and comfortable with decision-making.
- You’ll have the ability to delegate and follow-up with a good sense of people judgement.
- You’ll have the ability to lead through example and inspire others with best practice.
- You’ll have experience with digital and design communication.
- You’ll preferably have experience in Retail and Wholesale fields.
