About the Role

Our stores are the main touch points with our ever‑evolving consumer base. The Assistant Manager plays a key role in achieving these standards, leading by example and inspiring the team.

Responsibilities

  • Leading the store teams to generate sales, profit, minimise losses, and create the best possible customer experience while ensuring visual distinction and maintenance.
  • Identify opportunities to grow the business and improve performance through collaboration.
  • Maintain corporate visual merchandising directives and standards for sales floor and back room.
  • Work alongside the visual merchandising team to ensure clear communication.
  • Partner with store management to build on business opportunities and achieve company standards.
  • Focus staff on quality relationships with customers, ensuring accountability for building a repeat customer base.
  • Complete daily/weekly store walkthroughs; evaluate product performance, pricing, staff service levels and inventory.
  • Communicate to the Store Manager what drives sales and discuss priorities, developing strategies to maximise business, with weekly visual presentation action plans.
  • Analyse store level reports and create action plans to improve results.
  • Assist with manpower planning, recruitment, interviewing and hiring processes.
  • Work with the Store Manager to build bench strength for key positions.
  • Participate in weekly management meetings with staff.
  • Clearly communicate sales goals and performance expectations to staff.
  • Provide a great customer journey and achieve exemplary mystery shop results.
