We have an exciting new opportunity for a large animal vet to join our fantastic team at Putlands Veterinary Surgery in Paddock Wood, Kent.

Our RCVS accredited practice care for Small Animal, Farm and Equine patients and we have been established since 1977! We are a forward thinking clinic and are able to offer an extensive range of both medical and surgical services on site. Your new role will be working in our fully equipped clinic which includes facilities such as x-ray, Easi-scan ultrasound, endoscope, in house haematology/biochemistry machine, motorised equine dental rasp and ram/bull fertility testing equipment. We have a variable caseload including beef, sheep, dairy, camelid and smallholder clients, alongside first opinion equine cases. The practice is fortunate to have a large animal prep room, equine stocks, lambing shed and stabling facilities on site to allow us to further work up cases as needed.

We have an experienced and friendly team of vets and nurses to support you and our whole team are always willing to help and support each other. We are looking for someone who shares our values of teamwork, enthusiasm and passion for animal care. This role is truly mixed, with equal farm and equine work, but could be tailored to your preferences or strengths.

The ideal candidate will be someone that has a few years clinical experience, can work independently to excellent clinical standards and is enthusiastic and passionate about veterinary medicine. This position is part time, to include an equal share of the large animal on call rota, currently 1:4, with time back in lieu. We can be flexible on hours/rota pattern to suit. A pool vehicle is provided. Working hours between Monday – Friday 8am to 5pm. FTE salary of £45k-£50k depending experience.
