Pushkin Press is a dynamic, growing London-based publisher with annual revenues of £7.5 million and operations across the UK and US. Winner of Independent Publisher of the Year at the 2026 British Book Awards, we continue to go from strength to strength and as we expand, we are looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Accounts Royalties Assistant to join our Finance team. Reporting to the Finance Manager, this is a broad and varied role spanning core bookkeeping, publishing systems administration, royalty processing, and production finance support. The successful candidate will be comfortable working across multiple systems and liaising with editorial, rights, and production colleagues.

Key Responsibilities

  • Bookkeeping Financial Operations
    • Process supplier and sales invoices, manage weekly payment runs, and perform bank reconciliations
    • Support month-end close, including stock reconciliations, prepayments, and accruals
    • Track and record production costs in BiblioSuite
    • Assist in the preparation of management accounts and ad hoc financial reports as required
  • Publishing Systems Royalties
    • Administer contracts within BiblioSuite, and upload monthly sales data, ensuring accuracy and completeness
    • Produce monthly royalty reports and prepare and distribute royalty statements during royalty payment periods
