Senior Game Mathematician

Position Overview:

As a Senior Game Mathematician here at Push Gaming, you will be responsible for creating mathematical models for casino games and analysing them from a math balancing/design point of view. You will be working closely with Product Owners, Game Developers as well as the Commercial Team to ensure the delivery of innovative and high-quality games that meet the market needs. You\’ll be able to work on new and unique mechanics and game ideas and we welcome your suggestions too.

Salary : Negotiable depending on experience.

Location : remote/hybrid in UK, Spain or Poland.

Responsibilities:

1. Work with existing and new game mechanics and figure out how to balance them appropriately.
2. Construct games in code and run Monte Carlo Simulations to gather information used for balancing decisions and for documentation.
3. Perform calculations in Excel to get exact values for key values.
4. Analyse and review games in development and suggest improvements in mechanics and balancing.
5. Construct documentation for reviews of games and for the final version of a game.
6. Work closely with your team to ensure the maths is integrated into the game as well as possible. This includes product owners, artists, animators, developers, and QA testers.
7. Ensure your games comply with compliance requirements and our own high standards.

Requirements:

1. Solid experience in slot game mathematics
2. University Degree in Mathematics or other numerate discipline such as Statistics, Physics or Engineering.
3. Good knowledge of Combinatorics, Probability Theory and Quantitative Analysis.
4. Good knowledge of Microsoft Excel
5. Good knowledge of programming
6. Attention to detail
7. Well organised
8. Team player
9. Fluency in English

Nice to have:

1. OOP experience
2. Interest in playing slots
3. Knowledge of game trends
4. Knowledge of Java
