Are you a logistics professional who thrives on keeping complex supply chains moving? We are recruiting a Logistics Coordinator on behalf of a well-established manufacturing business located near Chelmsford, Essex. This is a hands-on, varied role with real ownership; from coordinating UK and international freight across road, sea, and air, to managing third-party logistics providers, driving KPI reporting, and acting as the go-to contact for export procedures and documentation.

If you have a solid logistics background, a sharp eye for detail, and the commercial awareness to manage transport costs effectively, we would love to hear from you. Please note: this is a fully office-based role, Monday to Friday. Hybrid working is not available. Due to the location, you will need to be a driver as public transport links are limited.

The Role - Logistics Coordinator

As Logistics Coordinator, you will report into the Supply Chain Supervisor and take day-to-day ownership of transport, export, and warehouse logistics activities. You will work closely with Customer Service, Planning, and Warehousing teams, as well as external freight forwarders and 3PL partners, to ensure shipments are booked, tracked, and executed in line with customer requirements and business targets.

Key Responsibilities of the Logistics Coordinator:

  • Review sales orders and manage logistics processes.
  • Coordinate shipments and ensure timely delivery.
  • Maintain communication with internal teams and external partners.
  • Drive KPI reporting and performance analysis.
