Are you a logistics professional ready to take ownership of end-to-end freight and supply chain operations? We are recruiting a Logistics Administrator to join a well-established manufacturing business based near Chelmsford, Essex. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with a logistics background to play a pivotal role in keeping international and domestic supply chains moving efficiently - working across air, road and sea freight whilst being the key point of contact for export procedures and third-party logistics partners.
As Logistics Administrator, you will be responsible for coordinating and optimising the movement of goods across UK and international routes. Reporting into the Supply Chain Supervisor, you will manage transport costs, build loading plans, and ensure shipments are booked, tracked and executed in line with customer requirements and business targets. Please note this role is full time, 5 days a week in the office. Hybrid work pattern is not available.
Key Responsibilities of the Logistics Administrator:- Review sales orders and pre-book shipments, liaising closely with the Customer Service and Planning team.
- Maintain and update the Transport Costs spreadsheet and Daily Warehouse Loading Schedule.
- Create inventory picks and develop loading plans to maximise loading efficiency.
