About the Role
As a Multiskilled Maintenance Engineer, you will be an integral part of an established and capable on-site maintenance team. Working across both planned preventative maintenance and reactive fault-finding, you will be responsible for keeping a wide variety of manufacturing equipment and facilities operating safely and efficiently. This role is shift-based and requires a confident, hands-on engineer with strong electrical and mechanical skills and a proactive attitude to problem-solving.
Shift Pattern
- Shifts rotating every 2 weeks between days and nights
- Day Shift - 05:45 - 18:15
- Night Shift - 17:45 - 06:15
- Overtime is available
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) schedules across a wide variety of manufacturing equipment, maintaining accurate records and reporting.
- Perform fault-finding and reactive breakdown repairs on production machinery, minimising downtime and ensuring swift resolution.
- Carry out general repairs and maintenance to building fabric and facilities.
- Support and contribute to continuous improvement (CI) initiatives across the site.
- Adhere to all health safety regulations, permit-to-work procedures, and site standards at all times.
- Collaborate effectively with the wider engineering and production teams to support site operations.
Essential Qualifications Experience
To be considered for this Multiskilled Maintenance Engineer position, you must be able to demonstrate:
- A recognised apprenticeship in electrical, mechanical, or electro-mechanical engineering.
- Minimum City Guilds Level 3, NVQ equivalent, BTEC, or ONC qualification.
- BS7671 IEE 18th Edition Wiring Regulations.
- A minimum of 5 years' experience in a multiskilled maintenance role within a manufacturing or industrial environment.
- Proven experience of working with hydraulics, pneumatics, and electrical circuits - including fault diagnosis.
- A strong working knowledge of health safety regulations and best practice.
- Good problem-solving skills, with the ability to work under pressure and prioritise effectively.
- A full UK driving licence (essential due to shift pattern and site location).
