Are you an experienced Customer Order Processor with a strong customer service background? Do you have a track record of managing orders end-to-end in a fast-paced manufacturing or distribution environment? As Customer Order Processor you will be responsible for the accurate processing and management of UK and international customer orders, acting as a key point of contact throughout the order journey.

Key responsibilities include:
  • Process and manage incoming UK and international customer orders accurately and efficiently from receipt through to delivery.
  • Maintain and update order records across internal systems, ensuring data accuracy at every stage.
  • Proactively communicate with customers on order status, delays and amendments, managing expectations throughout.
  • Coordinate collections and deliveries, liaising with hauliers and logistics partners to ensure smooth order fulfilment.
  • Work closely with Manufacturing Planning to ensure orders are aligned with production schedules and capacity.
  • Raise and process all relevant UK, export and import documentation in line with regulatory requirements.
  • Ensure full compliance with HMRC regulations relating to the movement of excise goods.
  • Handle order-related queries, issues and complaints promptly and professionally through to resolution.
  • Maintain strong working relationships across production, planning, accounts and commercial teams.
  • Contribute to ongoing improvement of order processing procedures and administrative processes.
What We're Looking For - Customer Order ProcessorEssential:
  • Proven experience in an order processing or order management role, with direct customer contact.
  • Strong track record of managing orders end-to-end: from receipt and processing through to delivery and resolution.
  • Experience resolving order-related queries, complaints and delivery issues on behalf of customers.
  • Comfortable liaising with internal teams including manufacturing, planning and logistics to fulfil orders on time.
  • Excellent attention to detail with a methodical, process-driven approach to data entry and order administration.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with a confident and professional telephone manner.
  • Ability to manage a busy and varied workload across multiple systems and priorities simultaneously.
  • Ability to work full time in the office 5 days a week.
Desirable:
  • Background in manufacturing, distribution or FMCG.
  • Experience with export, import or customs documentation.
  • Knowledge of HMRC regulations relating to excise goods.
  • Minimum 3 years' experience in a similar order processing or customer service role.
