Our client is looking for an organised and detail-focused HR & Payroll Administrator to join their team in Colchester. You'll provide day-to-day HR administration and support the monthly payroll process, making sure employee records are accurate and staff queries are handled promptly and professionally. Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage the full employee lifecycle administration
  • Maintain accurate employee records on the HR system and personnel files
  • Collate and process monthly payroll inputs
  • Check payroll reports for accuracy and resolve discrepancies
  • Administer absence and holiday records
  • Carry out right-to-work checks and support pre-employment screening
  • Respond to employee queries on HR and payroll matters
  • Support managers with HR paperwork and meeting notes
  • Handle confidential information in line with GDPR

About You:

  • 1 to 2 years of experience in an HR administration role
  • Working knowledge of payroll is an advantage
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy with numbers
  • Strong organisational skills and the ability to work to deadlines
  • Confident using Microsoft Office
  • Professional, approachable and discreet
  • Full UK driving licence and access to own car is essential
