About the Role
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a part or fully qualified accounting professional to join a dynamic SME in a standalone position offering genuine autonomy and the chance to make a real impact. This is a varied role combining strategic financial oversight with hands-on accounting responsibilities. You will manage all aspects of the company's finances whilst working closely with senior leadership.
Key Responsibilities
- Financial accounting and reporting to management
- Cash flow management and financial forecasting
- VAT returns preparation and submission
- Raising invoices and credit control
- Managing the relationship with our outsourced payroll provider
- Overseeing insurance renewals and ensuring appropriate coverage
- Managing supplier agreements and contract renewals
- IT oversight and liaison with service providers
What We're Looking For
- Fully qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent) an advantage;
- Proven experience working within an SME environment
- Strong commercial acumen with the ability to provide financial insight and guidance
- Confident working autonomously in a standalone position
- Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities
- Strong communication skills for liaising with external suppliers and internal stakeholders
- Strong Knowledge of Xero and Sage and good technical knowledge of other IT systems
- Proactive and works well within fast paced environments
