Stockroom Operative in Witham

Location: Witham, Essex
Hours: 37.5 hours per week

Salary: £28,027 to £28,882 p.a

Shift Pattern: Weekly rotation between 6am-1pm and 1pm-8pm. Please note, due to the shift pattern, unless you live in Witham, you must be a car driver as public transport does not align with the shift patterns for this role.

What You'll Be Doing:

• Receiving and moving deliveries (chemicals, consumables) into the main stores
• Transferring samples, glassware, and materials between laboratories
• Handling waste management processes, including weighing, labelling, and storage
• Processing stock movements (in/out) and keeping accurate stock records
• Carrying out regular stock checks
• Assisting with loading and unloading deliveries, including forklift use (training provided)
• Supporting wider logistics activities, including use of the company van

What We're Looking For:

• A strong work ethic and the ability to work independently
• Good organisational and time management skills
• Basic IT and numeracy skills
• A full UK driving licence and access to your own vehicle
• Physically fit and flexible with working hours, including occasional weekends
• A forklift licence is desirable but not essential - training is available
