Our client is a well-established international distributor is looking for a QA Assistant to help the QA team make sure products, documentation and processes meet the required quality standards. The work is varied: product inspections, label creation, document control, coordinating external rework, and translating foreign-language product information into clear, accurate English.
Key Responsibilities:
* Help with quality inspections and checks of products, materials and packaging
* Create, print and check product labels so that all information is accurate and compliant
* Translate foreign-language product information into English, and check translated text for accuracy and consistency
* Arrange and coordinate external rework with approved suppliers and service providers
* Prepare and issue rework instructions, specifications and supporting documents
* Track rework progress so that deadlines and quality standards are met, and inspect products when they come back
* Keep accurate QA records, including traceability information and the cost and outcome of each rework
* Support investigations into quality issues and help put corrective actions in place
* Deal with quality queries from internal teams, suppliers and customers
* Help with audits and compliance activities, and keep up good housekeeping and health and safety standards
About You:
* You have excellent attention to detail and take pride in accuracy
* You communicate well in writing and in person, and are confident dealing with suppliers and external providers
* You're competent in Microsoft Office, especially Word, Excel and Outlook
* You're well organised, keep good records, and can prioritise several tasks at once
Desirable:
* Experience in Quality Assurance, Quality Control or administration
* Experience with label printing software or barcode systems
* Knowledge of quality management systems and documentation processes
* Experience coordinating supplier rework or corrective actions
* Quality, administration or language qualifications
