Overview
Shipping Clerk Manufacturing & Logistics: A global manufacturer of control and safety solutions for rotating equipment is seeking a proactive Shipping Clerk to coordinate the dispatch of finished goods. This role ensures timely, accurate, and compliant shipments both domestically and internationally.
Responsibilities
- Prepare shipping documents and certificates for customs clearance.
- Book collections and generate labels per carrier and regulatory standards.
- Apply accurate freight charges in ERP systems (e.g., IFS).
- Track and obtain proof of delivery (POD); support invoicing.
- Provide shipping quotes and recommend appropriate methods to Customer Service.
- Liaise with freight forwarders and customer-nominated carriers.
- Process consolidated shipments and use customer shipping portals.
- Maintain daily shipping reports and updates.
- Review commodity codes and assist with trade compliance.
- Investigate and resolve shipping-related issues; suggest improvements.
- Support training and cross-training of team members.
- Follow health, safety, and quality standards; contribute to 5S and continuous improvement efforts.
