An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Mechanical Design Engineer to join a well-established and innovative engineering business developing advanced electro-mechanical and robotic systems for use in demanding environments. The company designs and delivers complex equipment from initial concept through to full-scale manufacture and deployment. This is a fantastic role for an engineer looking to make a real impact, with the chance to work on technically challenging R&D projects and contribute to the design of robust, high-performance mechanical systems. You will be part of a multi-disciplinary team and play a key role in taking designs from concept through detailed design, testing, and manufacture.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and develop mechanical systems and components
- Take concepts through detailed design and manufacture
- 3D CAD design, including assemblies, components, and detailed drawings
- Materials selection and structural design for demanding operating environments
- Build, assemble, and test prototypes
- Support manufacturing with technical input, troubleshooting, and design refinement
Skills & Experience Required
- Degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline (or equivalent experience)
- Proven experience in mechanical design and development of complex products

- Strong 3D CAD skills
