Our client is pleased to offer an exciting opportunity for an experienced Network Engineering Manager to collaborate closely with their Project Management and Engineering teams. This role provides the chance to work with cutting‑edge technologies, influence system design, and deliver high‑quality solutions to exacting standards. You must be an excellent communicator with strong client‑facing skills, supported by extensive network engineering experience. A high level of expertise in wireless networks, fibre optics, and telecommunications systems is essential. While the company is based in Hertfordshire, this is a field‑based role that will also require international travel.
Key Skills And Experience
- Certifications
- CCNA essential
- CCNP desirable (or equivalent practical experience)
- Proven experience designing and delivering end‑to‑end network solutions
- Strong understanding of VLANs, trunking, STP fundamentals, DHCP/DNS, and core routing concepts
- Experience with OSPF preferred; BGP knowledge is an advantage
- Experience deploying and managing enterprise‑grade Wi‑Fi solutions (controller‑based or equivalent)
- Competent in Wi‑Fi site surveys, coverage analysis, and heatmap reporting (Ekahau or equivalent tools)
- Hands‑on experience configuring and deploying firewalls, including Cisco, Fortinet, Check Point, Sophos, WatchGuard, and Palo Alto
- Strong security fundamentals, including network segmentation (owner/guest/crew/IoT), secure remote access and VPNs, and ACL configuration
- Experience with multi‑WAN and SD‑WAN‑style solutions, including traffic path selection and optimisation
- Familiarity with platforms such as Peplink, Celerway, Kerio, Sophos, Cisco, and Kognitive Networks
- Strong fault‑finding and system commissioning skills are essential
