A well-established engineering and manufacturing business, operating internationally in the converting and print industries, is seeking an experienced Electrical Wire Person to join its team.
About The Role
Youll be responsible for assembling and wiring a diverse range of machinery and electrical control panels, using comprehensive electrical diagrams as a guide. This hands-on position involves both bench-based panel wiring and installing electrical components directly onto machines.
Main Duties
- Assemble and wire electrical systems, including those controlled by PLCs (no programming required)
- Install and connect components such as motors, drives, relays, transformers, and HMI units
- Perform on-machine wiring involving trunking, cable trays, junction boxes, and sensors
- Read and follow complex electrical schematics accurately
- Conduct basic troubleshooting and fault diagnosis during assembly
- Work closely with the wider production team, while also being able to complete tasks independently
What Were Looking For
- Ideally, a fully qualified electrician with experience in both panel and machinery wiring
- Strong understanding of electrical drawings and schematics
- Up-to-date knowledge of wiring regulations (18th Edition certification required)
- Confident communicator and a team player
- Capable of working with minimal supervision and taking initiative
