About the role: As the Prep Cook at Woodington Lake, you’ll prepare ingredients and assist in menu execution for breakfast, lunch, and dinner, ensuring every dish meets our high standards of quality and consistency. Working closely with the culinary team, you’ll maintain a clean, organized, and efficient workspace while supporting smooth operations and minimizing food waste. You will uphold the club’s values by contributing to a positive, collaborative, and professional team environment.

What you’ll do:
- Prepare ingredients for breakfast, lunch, and dinner service, ensuring freshness and consistency.
- Chop, portion, measure, and organize ingredients to support menu execution.
- Assist the kitchen team in delivering a menu that reflects the club’s values and meets member and guest expectations.
- Take pride in food preparation, ensuring every dish meets high standards of quality and presentation.
- Utilize modern kitchen equipment safely and efficiently.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitized workspace, following all health and safety regulations.
- Assist with inventory management, including stocking, rotation, and minimizing food waste.
- Collaborate with chefs and team members to ensure smooth kitchen operations.
- Follow kitchen protocols and food safety guidelines consistently.
- Support general kitchen duties, including dishwashing and cleaning, as needed.
What you bring:
- Previous kitchen experience in a restaurant, golf club, or catering environment is an asset.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions accurately.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced, high-volume kitchen.
- Positive, collaborative attitude with strong teamwork skills.
- Understanding of food safety and sanitation protocols.
What You Need:
- Must have a flexible working schedule including early mornings, evenings, weekends.
- Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions (heat, cold, rain, snow).
- Comfort with both fast-paced service days and slower periods.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently or as part of a team.
- Reliable transportation to and from Woodington Lake Golf Club.
- Physical stamina for walking the course, standing for long periods, lifting up to 40 lbs, bending, and carrying equipment.
